Why toddler events plan differently

Early-childhood groups need low, soft, enclosed units, short turns, and adults who can watch children instead of running equipment. As our daycare and preschool page puts it, a 27-foot water slide is the wrong answer for a three-year-old.

Every product page lists an age group, a setup area and the outlets the unit needs. Read the age line first: some units that look child-sized are not meant for under-fives; the Rainforest Kid Zone, for example, is listed for ages 6 and up.

Toddler play centers by age group

These units from our toddler play centers category fit a daycare or preschool event. Prices are catalog prices from each product page, and each includes delivery, setup and takedown.

UnitCatalog priceSetup areaAges on page
Toy Town Toddler Playland$49922 x 22 x 12 ft0 to 5
Carnival Toddler Playland$49922 x 22 x 12 ftToddlers
Beach Party Toddler Play Center$49922 x 22 x 12 ftToddlers
Toddler Block Party With Slide Inside$42918 x 20 x 17 ft2 to 5
Little Farmers Playland With Slide Inside$42918 x 18 x 18 ft5 and under
Midway KidZone With Slide Inside$42921 x 23 x 20 ft2 to 9
Unicorn KidZone With Slide Inside$37919 x 22 x 17 ft2 to 9

Each of these needs one standard 120v outlet. At 12 feet tall, the three playlands are the easiest fit under trees or an overhang.

The Midway and Unicorn KidZones are listed for ages 2 to 9, so they suit family days with older siblings. If you book both sizes, set the toddler unit apart so the youngest children have their own space.

Splash days without a big slide

Our daycare page describes splash days as shallow, small-scale water play with attendants on site. Two slides in our catalog are built for this age group:

The Midway and Unicorn KidZones also run wet or dry, so one unit can cover a summer splash day and a dry event in the cooler months. Every water slide needs a water line and power at the setup spot. Our water slide guide covers the full lineup.

Events through the school year

Booking windows below come from the calendar on our Schools, Cities & Organizations page.

  • Fall festival. Toddler-scaled autumn events. Book in August or September for October dates. Our fall festival guide covers layout and flow.
  • Holiday and Christmas. Real snow, a Santa arch and Grinch Mountain. Reserve between September and early November. See our holiday event rentals and snow machines.
  • Pre-K graduation and end of year. Graduation celebrations and family days. Miami-Dade and Broward end their school years about a week apart, so April and May dates compete with nearly every school field day in the region. Book those in January or February.
  • Summer camp. Recurring weekly bookings through the summer session. Book in April or May.

For a family day where parents come too, add seating at a child’s height: kids tables (30 x 48 in, seats 6 children, $15) and kids chairs ($3.25). A popcorn machine with supplies for 50 is $179 and needs one outlet. For a bigger draw, the Mini Kiddie Ferris Wheel (ages 2 to 8) and the Majestic trackless train (all ages, no electricity needed) both come with our operator and are quoted to your event.

Playground, parking lot or park

  • Surface. Grass takes stakes. Asphalt and concrete get ballast anchoring. Tell us the surface when you request the quote, and say so up front if the only open space is a playground with rubber or mulch surfacing.
  • Power. Every blower needs continuous power for the whole event, and there is no battery alternative. If there is no outlet near the setup spot, generators run $119 to $249. Our generator power guide explains how to size the load.
  • Shade and seating. Tents, tables and chairs come from us on the same invoice. See our tents, tables and chairs page.

Have an indoor plan for every outdoor date. Inflatables stop operating when wind reaches 15 mph, or at the unit’s own lower limit. Decide ahead of time where each class goes if the units have to stop, and include that plan in the note you send parents.

Staffing: teachers supervise, attendants operate

Your teachers already have ratios to keep. We staff attractions with trained attendants so your teachers can supervise instead of operate. Attendants are $300 per four-hour shift, and we recommend them for every school and organizational event.

Our operators are SIOTO-certified, we train attendants through the Jump Train Online Academy, every mechanical ride is FDACS-inspected annually and before each public event, and our equipment is ASTM-compliant.

Paperwork for your office

We send a certificate of insurance naming your organization as additional insured within 24 hours, usually the same business day and at no charge. W-9s go out the same business day on request. We accept purchase orders, requisitions and corporate checks, and attractions, tents, tables, chairs, generators, concessions and staff go on one invoice.

To get the certificate right the first time, send four things: the exact legal entity name, its contract mailing address, the event address and date, and any required coverage limits or endorsement language. Our vendor paperwork guide walks through each document.

Get a quote for your center

Send your center’s legal name for the COI, the event date and hours, the age groups and number of children, where the units would go and on what surface, and whether there is an outlet nearby.
