December books early

Tree lightings, winter festivals, parish Christmas nights, HOA holiday events, Santa visits and company holiday parties all land on the same few weekends. The calendar on our Schools, Cities & Organizations page lists early November as the book-by date for December holiday events, snow machines and Santa. Our city and parks page notes that the December holiday window is booked months out.

If you have a December date and no booking yet, call this week with the date, venue, headcount and ages. Everything below is on our holiday events page, and the holiday and Christmas page covers the full season.

Snow in Miami: falling snow or real snow

Snow means two different things, so say which one you want.

  • Falling snow. Our snow machines make falling snow from a safe, non-toxic foam that dissolves quickly and leaves no mess. Choose the standard snow machine or the S103 Mega Snow Machine; each needs one 120v outlet. A 6.6 ft truss and extra gallons of snow solution are listed as add-ons.
  • Real snow. The Snow Play Zone is a 16 x 16 ft pit of real snow, 256 square feet, inside 42-inch fencing with one entrance and exit gate. It needs a 20 x 20 ft space and comes with a staff attendant. Call to reserve it.

For a winter festival, add the Human Inflatable Snow Globe (15 x 15 x 17 ft, two outlets, ages 6 and up) or the two-player Snow Throw (19 x 13 x 11 ft, one outlet). The Portable Ice Rink with Fencing needs no electricity, and our Jewish holiday events page lists it with synthetic ice and skates included as the Hanukkah headline. The rink is call to reserve.

Santa visits and photo spots

The 25 ft Santa Arch works as the entrance to the event or the start of the Santa line. It is 36 feet wide and 10 feet deep, so plan the walkway around it. The Inflatable Face-in-Hole Photo Backdrop gives families a second photo stop away from the line.

Trains and rides

Rides are quoted to your headcount and venue.

Concessions, shade and seating

A popcorn machine or cotton candy machine with supplies for 50 fits in 2 x 2 ft on one outlet. See all fun foods and concessions. For a company party or an evening festival on a lawn, tents, tables and chairs come from us on the same invoice, including high peak tent packages for 40 to 100 guests.

Site, power and weather

  • Surface. Grass takes stakes. Asphalt, concrete and parking lots get ballast anchoring. Tell us the surface when you request the quote.
  • Power. Every blower needs continuous power for the whole event, and there is no battery alternative. We need an outlet within 75 feet of each unit or a generator. Most county and city park pavilions have no usable power for inflatables, so build generators, $119 to $249, into a park quote from the start. Our generator power guide explains how to size the load.

Plan for wind. Inflatables stop operating when wind reaches 15 mph, or at the unit’s own lower limit. Decide in advance what moves indoors or under a tent if the units stop.

Staffing and paperwork

We recommend trained attendants, at $300 per four-hour shift, for every school, city and corporate event, so your teachers, volunteers and staff are not running equipment. Our rides are FDACS-inspected, and our operators are SIOTO-trained.

We send a certificate of insurance naming your organization as additional insured within 24 hours, usually the same business day and at no charge. W-9s go out the same day, and you get an itemized quote for board or PTA approval. We accept purchase orders and school and corporate checks. To get the certificate right the first time, send the exact legal entity name, its contract mailing address, the event address and date, and any required coverage limits or endorsement language. Our vendor paperwork guide walks through each document.

Frequently asked questions

When should we book a December holiday event?
Our schools and organizations calendar lists early November for December holiday events, snow machines and Santa. City tree lightings and winter festivals book months out, so earlier is better. If you have a December date and have not called, call now.

Is the snow real?
It depends on the item. Our snow machines make falling snow from a non-toxic foam that dissolves quickly. The Snow Play Zone is a fenced 16 x 16 ft pit of real snow with a staff attendant included.

What power do holiday attractions need?
Each product page lists its outlets. The snow machines and most holiday inflatables need one 120v outlet, and blowers need power for the whole event. Without an outlet within 75 feet, add a generator, $119 to $249.

Do your staff run the attractions?
Yes. Rides come with our operator or driver, and the Snow Play Zone includes a staff attendant. For inflatables, trained attendants are $300 per four-hour shift.

What paperwork can you send our office?
A certificate of insurance naming your organization as additional insured within 24 hours at no charge, a W-9 the same day, and an itemized quote for board or PTA approval. We accept purchase orders.
